Cal Valls in Spain

The Spanish Cal Valls family has been practising organic farming on its farm in Catalonia already since 1979. In the 80s NATURATA made a considerable contribution to the farm’s conversion to biodynamic farming and, since 1991, it is Demeter certified. Today, tomatoes as well as paprika, onions, potatoes, grains and oranges are grown on 25 hectares land and sold mainly regionally. The tomatoes are ripened by the sun, harvested and processed directly. So that the aromatic fruits keep their full taste and ingredients, they are boiled down according to a traditional, manual method. They then taste “like freshly boiled down tomatoes” – fruity and with a full taste.


Terre di Sangiorgio in Italy

NATURATA Demeter tomato puree and passata comes from the Italian Azienda Agricola Terre di Sangiorgio in San Giorgio Piacentino. Here Matteo Gazzola has been using biodynamic farming methods already since 1990. At first, the focus was on the cultivation of vegetables for regional sale but, in 1995, he converted the farm and has, since then, been growing mainly tomatoes. At the same time a production site was built in which the tomatoes can be directly processed after harvesting. This enables the fruit to ripen fully in the fields so that you can taste the full goodness of the Italian sun in the products and that they have the highest quality.
